It was a Sunday in Outing – serious to begin with and serious to end with but in the middle, was some Sun and Fun
(because kids need the S & F).
(because kids need the S & F).
As for the serious start, it is in awaking to remembrance that the tragic events of the 9/11 attacks, happened 21 years ago this 9.11.22 (and yes those that died that day, as well as all of their families, are in our thoughts and prayers). As for the S & F . . . every kid will tell you that as we work our way closer and closer to the official start of Fall, every day that is sunny and fun, are great ones to enjoy as best can. Which then brings us to the serious part of the end of the day, that being homework time for those that need to be prepared for school on Monday morning. Now, is homework fun? For some, possibly . . . but for most kids, probably not. But, that is a part of life in growing up, that we adults need to remember what our kids are having to deal with as they work through all of their school years. So, let us as parents, be partners with our kids in regards to helping to remind them when they need to do so, being able to help when they have questions, and in giving them some flexibility as to when and where they do their homework (like, it could be done after a Vikings game). |
Give your burdens to the Lord, and He will take care of you.
